The MediaTek MT8183 brings together a diverse mix of highly capable hardware into a power-efficient chip, enabling quality Tablet platforms. The chip combines an octa-core CPU with four Arm Cortex-A73 ‘big’ cores and four Cortex-A53 cores all operating up to 2GHz, plus a powerful Arm Mali-G72-class graphics processor operating up to 800MHz. A dual-core AI processing unit (APU) is also integrated into the chip. It provides up to 0.5TOPs performance, enabling accelerated AI-enhancements to applications and AI-camera upgrades with very low power use.
The MediaTek MT8183 supports up to 32MP camera sensors for very high resolution images, or dual-camera arrays up to 16+16MP, plus a hardware depth sensor for accurate bokeh images and video; ideal for video conferencing. AI-camera synergy can enable features such as facial detection, object and scene identification, selfie enhancements, AR/MR acceleration, album categorization and other photography and live-video enhancements.
Brands can adopt crisp FullHD+ resolution displays for their products, plus offer external display connectivity to increase the screen real-estate for productivity. A multi-standard FullHD video accelerator and an advanced audio subsystem provide power-efficient multimedia playback from local storage or online streaming services, enabling users to watch their favorite shows for longer, or freeing CPU time to multitask effectively. Flexible memory and storage options enable brands a variety of performance levels to meet market requirements, or plan several products around a single platform, saving development time and cost. Connectivity options include Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and GNSS, while peripherals can be connected with either USB 3.0 (device mode) or USB 2.0 OTG, and SDIO.

The MediaTek MT8788 brings together a mix of powerful hardware plus 4G LTE modem integrated into a power-efficient 12nm SoC, enabling high performance, fully featured designs with everywhere connectivity.
The MT8788 octa-core CPU incorporates four Arm Cortex-A73 high performance cores, plus four Cortex-A53 power-efficiency cores, all operating up to 2GHz. Graphics is provided by a highly capable Arm Mali-G72 MP3 GPU operating up to 800MHz, while LPDDR4 memory up to 3200MT/s is supported, providing substantial memory performance.
Up to large 32MP sensors or multi-camera arrays up to 16+16MP are supported; backed by a power-optimized, triple ISP design. Using the dual-core MediaTek APU 1.0, brands can embrace AI-enabled OS-enhancements like personal assistants and AI-camera features such as deep-leading face detection, object and scene identification, selfie enhancements, AR/MR acceleration, album categorization and other photography and live-video enhancements.
FullHD (1920 x 1080) resolution displays bring sharp and vivid visuals, while a multi-standard video accelerator and an advanced audio subsystem provide power-efficient multimedia playback at up to FulHD resolution from either local storage or streaming services.
4G LTE connectivity is integrated into the MT8788, enabling power efficient, global connectivity at up to Cat-7 performance. Dual 4G SIM capabilities provide superior consumer choice and VoLTE/ViLTE services from either connection, where available.
