In the first session, our general manager gave a detailed lecture on fire extinguisher knowledge to all employees. He first introduced different types of fire extinguishers, including dry powder fire extinguishers, carbon dioxide fire extinguishers, foam fire extinguishers, etc., and explained their scope of application in detail.
The second part was the building evacuation drill. The drill simulated a sudden fire in the factory, which spread rapidly and was in a very critical situation. The fire alarm system was activated, the alarm sounded, and the fire emergency broadcast began to play the evacuation instructions, informing all employees of the location of the fire and guiding everyone to evacuate quickly along the evacuation route. After hearing the alarm, employees from various departments, under the command of the person in charge, covered their mouths and noses with wet towels, bent over and evacuated in an orderly manner along the evacuation passage. During the evacuation process, everyone strictly abided by the evacuation discipline, did not crowd or push, and moved forward in the direction of the evacuation signs and the safety exit lights. The evacuation guide maintained order at the designated location, ensured that the evacuation passage was unobstructed, and guided personnel to evacuate quickly and safely to the assembly point outside the office building.
Afterwards, the operation of the fire extinguisher was demonstrated, including pulling out the safety pin, holding the nozzle, aiming at the root of the fire source, pressing the pressure handle, etc. It was emphasized that attention should be paid to maintaining a safe distance during use to avoid being burned by the flame. At the same time, it was also explained how to check whether the fire extinguisher is normal, such as checking whether the pressure gauge pointer is in the green area, checking whether the nozzle is unobstructed, etc. After the lecture, the employees were organized to practice the operation of the fire extinguisher. Under the guidance of professionals, the employees picked up the fire extinguisher in turn and performed the fire extinguishing operation according to the knowledge they learned. Through personal experience, the employees have a more intuitive grasp of the use of fire extinguishers and enhanced their ability to actually deal with fires. The atmosphere on the scene was warm, and everyone actively participated and said that they had learned a lot of knowledge.
In this drill, all employees evacuated safely, and the evacuation process was quick and orderly. A medical emergency team was also set up at the assembly point, ready to provide emergency services to the injured at any time. After the drill, the general commander of the drill commented and summarized the entire evacuation process. He affirmed everyone's performance in the drill, and also pointed out some minor problems in the evacuation process, and put forward improvement suggestions for these problems. In the future work, Xuezhiyou will continue to strengthen fire safety management, regularly carry out fire training and drills, and continuously improve fire facilities and equipment to ensure the continued stability of the fire safety situation of this project and create a safe and harmonious working and living environment for all owners.
