China's tablet shipments

August 12th News This morning, International Data Corporation (IDC) released the latest quarterly tracking report for tablets. The data shows that China's tablet PC shipments in the second quarter of 2019 were about 5.61 million units, a year-on-year growth of 2.3%.

IDC's data shows that in the second quarter of 2019, the sales of traditional tablet-type tablets reached 4.7 million units, down 7.1% year-on-year. The number of pluggable keyboard tablets shipped was about 910,000 units, up 111.3% year-on-year. The popularity of Apple iPad Air and Huawei Matebook E (2019) and the continued increase in Microsoft shipments.

In the shipment ranking, Apple iPad shipped 2.33 million units in the second quarter of 2019, with a market share of 41.4%, Huawei's flat products shipped 1.54 million units, accounting for 27.4%, and Xiaomi flat products shipped 340,000 units. Accounting for 6.1%, Lenovo and Microsoft's tablet shipments were 220,000 and 200,000, respectively, accounting for no more than 4%.
